#MUNIonThis: When planning your next dream vacation, are you quick to book your ticket to a foreign destination?
Exploring the local destinations can enrich your perception of your own country, support local industries, and help improve tourism practices. You simply have so much to see with a simple road trip or boat ride away!
Here are some things we hope you’ll remember when you finally embark on your journeys across the Philippine islands:
Leave no trace

Respect local etiquette
Remember that locals are most likely to have their own ways of life. Familiarize yourself with their traditions and norms, as part of being a courteous guest, and also to gain a deeper understanding of their culture.
Get to know locals
[We’ll be planning another trip to Lumban, Laguna this coming May 3. Details coming soon!]
Rather than hastily moving from one place to the next or simply planning quick “power” vacations, consider staying a little longer to maximize the fuel resources to get to a place, immerse yourself in an area, do more quality muni-muni, and practice the art of doing nothing.
How else can you travel more mindfully and purposefully? 🙂
