#MUNIonThis: Do you still need convincing that OPM is NOT dead?
Vandals On The Wall, a Philippine indie music blog, just recently launched their website vandalsonthewall.com last July 13, 2013 over at Saguijo. Co-presented by Revolver Productions, the event showcased a 10-band sampler of what the website is all about – a thoughtful coverage of the country’s pulsating music scene.
The line-up of performers featured indie favorites Taken By Cars and Ciudad; joined by up-and-coming acts Skymarines, Library Kids, Rome and the Cats, Nouvul, Paranoid City, Valiant Vermin, Cheats, and Wilderness. This multi-genre music exhibit of our local artists just reaffirms that now, more than ever, OPM shows so much promise and is ready to reclaim the spotlight.
From mainstream acts to obscure independents, pop to avant garde, rap to metal, and everything in between, the VOTW website encourages its readers to discover and rethink OPM through its feature articles, music news coverage, music reviews, downloadable mixtapes, artist highlights, and so much more.
For any music fan, this site is a gateway to pure awesomeness. For the local music scene, it opens doors to a much larger audience.
Contrary to it being dead, these are actually exciting times for OPM. Can we please finally put that issue to rest now?
